Inspired by Tom Waits' sound piece; the hidden observer existing merely in the domain of sound (un)intentionally reconfigures the craftsman’s world, hence obscuring the true meaning of his activity. Deathbed is ultimately a play on perception: of seeing and not perceiving, or rather, how we see is governed by our desire to see that which we wish to see.
